Of course, there is plenty of content to pull from, including other Z story arcs and movies, but Broly seems like a safe bet with its current direction.ĭragon Ball Z: Kakarot is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The reason there may be lackluster, but testing identity of the characters in regards to name and what it means to be the "legendary Super Saiyan" would make a good fit.īetween the change, the datamine, and the amount of work in imagining anything else as a story arc could mean big things for Broly in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Symbollically speaking, it would also make sense to include Broly in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot due to his obsession with Kakarot. Following the conclusion of the hype top 8 over at the Red Bull Spain Saga, Bandai Namco finally showed off the gameplay trailer for Broly (DBS) in Dragon Ball FighterZ as the final character. The time travel machine could be used to go back to this time, not to mention, the Family Kamehameha of Goku, Gohan, and Goten would be look fantastic in DBZ: Kakarot's graphics. The aforementioned Broly datamine included phrases and characters that seemed like they were from The Second Coming, and so it stands to reason the story arc could be shipped as a Broly arc that featured multiple fights with a plethora of characters. Namely, the inclusions necessary to translate the movies (both of the original ones) as a story arc aren't that much. This then bodes well for one data mine that revealed Broly's original movies would be DLC. That is incredibly unlikely, though, because of how much sheer content would need to be added in way of characters, locations, and more. As such, this could be a continuation of the boss battle episodes that introduces Universe 6 as DLC. With the wording clarified and this unchanged, it definitely seems like this is another full-fledged story a la the the game's Z story arcs. That, boiled down in this way, only really leaves two possibilities for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's story arc. If Beerus is the first boss battle episode and it unlocks Super Saiyan God, there's a good chance the second Boss Battle episode will feature Golden Frieza as the boss battle and unlock Super Saiyan Blue. As such, it's easier to plot out expectations. It turns out that it's more boiled down than that, with the boss battle episodes seemingly serving as more mechanic oriented content than story. At first, many thought (following details of Beerus and Whis being in the DLC) that the original story episodes would be a sort of unique take on the classic Gods of the Universe saga.
